Semester review SS19

The summer semester held a variety of interesting events of the technology management department.

The bachelor course “Management” hosted three guest lectures, including Professor Bebenroth of our partner university in Kobe, Japan, who held a lecture about the special characteristics of management in Japan.

Another interesting lecture revolved around the cultural change within the Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (“Kulturwandel bei der Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG"), held on June 6th , 2019 by Klaus Schelble, Head of System Service Digital, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG:

As well as “Veränderungsprojekte im Gesundheitswesen erfolgreich gestalten", on the subject of Change Management in hospitals on June 19th, 2019. Lecturer was Dr. Martina Oldhafer, Head of Change Management UKSH Schleswig-Holstein:


“Management in Japan” on July 3rd, by Professor Ralf Bebenroth, Kobe University.

Three representatives of the company Thyssenkrup Marine Systems in Kiel, each held a lecture in the bachelor course „Projektmanagement“:

In addition, as part of the „Alumni im Dialog“ Carsten Döring (partner and head of the KPMG AG department in Kiel) discussed the topic "Wirtschaftsprüfung und Steuerberatung im Zeitalter der Digitalisierung - mehr Chancen als Risiken für die Branche?", revolving around the impact of digitalization on the professions auditor and tax consultant.

Further, we strengthened our collaborations with regional companies. Friederike Holdhof presented for the project “Mittelstand 4.0“:

The department of technology management strives to deepen the existing cooperation’s further. In order to achieve this Julia Kroh visited the innovation center of the pharmacological company “Merck” in Darmstadt:


There have also been lectures held in corporation with other departments as the event "Digitalisierung in Innovations- und Logistikprozessen" with the department of Supply Chain Management from Professor Dr. Frank Meisel:
