The Chair of Technology Management primarily conducts research on the challenges facing innovations in Health Care and the development of sustainable products, services, and product-service-systems (PSS). We focus on the strategic change necessary with respect to technology and innovation management, especially regarding the social relevance of demographic and climate change.

Our research projects are theoretically sound and empirically challenging. We utilize qualitative and quantitative primary and secondary data that are evaluated using multivariate statistical methods and/ or content analysis approaches. The results are published in high-ranking scientific journals (e.g., Research Policy, Journal of Product Innovation Management), and prepared for practical application.

The department focuses on four core research areas:

Innovation Management

Open Innovation, IP, and Technology Transfer

Service Innovations

Service Networks
